On February 18, 2020, Source Langley Furniture Sales Specialist Josh Lozornio and Account Executive Diane Smith attended the Langley Chamber of Commerce February Dinner Meeting. Titled, “The Art of Successful Networking: How to Create Winning Connections,” This chamber event was hosted at the Cascades Casino Coast Hotel & Convention Centre. The dinner meeting featured international speaker, best selling author and marketing strategist Sue Clement. Learn more about Josh’s experience below.
“We arrived at the venue around 6 p.m. and networked with some participants and attendees. Diane and I made some new connections before dinner time,” explained Josh. “I was able to introduce myself to Chamber Executive Director Colleen Clark and she also introduced me to former Chamber President Jack Nicholson.”
At the beginning of the event they introduced new chamber members and also featured a speaker from Fraser Valley Continuing Education. Following the introductions, Sue Clement took the stage and began her presentation. “I was very interested in topic because it is very relevant for any type of business, especially sales,” said Josh.
At the chamber event, Sue shared advice on leveraging your time and finding networking opportunities. She explained that making connections is critical for greater success. She also talked about how to make new contacts and gain more clients. At the end of the event, Josh met with Sue and gathered additional useful information.
