Source Edmonton Donates to Kids Kottage and The Bissell Centre
Source values giving back to the local community, especially during the holiday season. Our
Edmonton store donates annually to
Kids Kottage, and this holiday season they collected toys, clothes and crucial supplies for the organization.
Kids Kottage is Edmonton’s first and only crisis prevention shelter. Its vision is to build strong families and ensure the safe-keeping and well-being of all children. Additionally, Kids Kottage’s Crisis Prevention Shelter offers emergency respite to families in crisis by admitting their infants and children up to 10 years of age for up to 72 hours, free of charge. This organization serves a vital role in the Edmonton community. Therefore, Source Edmonton is fortunate that they’re able to help them.
In addition to Kids Kottage, Source Edmonton also donated to the
Bissell Centre. The Bissell Centre works with communities to empower people to move from poverty to cultural, social and economic prosperity. The centre offers various programs including housing assistance, employment services, family support, and mental health services. If you’re interested in volunteering or donating to the organization, more information can be found

IKEA Christmas Tree Program
Every year, IKEA stores in Canada facilitate a Christmas Tree Program in their local communities. For every Christmas tree that IKEA sells a portion will be donated to the Tree Canada Foundation. Additionally, IKEA also partners with a community organization to staff the tree lot. This year
630 CHED Santas Anonymous helped the IKEA Edmonton location. Source Edmonton staff also volunteered their time at the Christmas tree lot to assist customers with their trees. Our team had a great time spending the day outdoors and helping with this great program.
