We’re incredibly grateful for the support we receive from these communities year after year. In return, we seek opportunities to get involved and look forward to helping in any way we can. Our Calgary location has worked closely with the Centre for Newcomers (CFN) for many years, providing them with solutions for their office furniture needs. CFN’s mission is to provide settlement services to immigrants and refugees, guiding them as they settle into their new homes and communities. When we learned about the construction of their new location, we were eager to contribute. CFN’s new location required furniture for a variety of rooms. From childcare applications to office cubicles, we used office furniture solutions from HON and Performance to create stylish and functional spaces for CFN’s dedicated team and clients.Creating Flow with Panel Systems
In the general work area, we used the HON Accelerate panel systems to create privacy and separation between workstations, knowing that the Accelerate collection is very customizable and can be used in a variety of ways to create separation and build functional spaces. In this project with CFN, we used panels made with fabric to restrict the flow of noise, and opted for frosted glass on top to extend the reach of natural light coming from the windows.
Workstations That Give Back
With all the hard work CFN employees put into bettering the Calgary community, we wanted focus on their wellness by providing functional workstations that give lasting support and comfort. Using the CoolMesh Executive High Back Chair, CFN employees can experience full back and body support, while taking advantage of multiple adjustment settings that provide a customized feel. We also outfitted each workstation with Enhance Height Adjustable standing desks, giving employees the flexibility and comfort to sit or stand throughout the day. To tie it all together, cabinets and drawers from Performance’s Classic collection offer storage solutions to keep workstations clutter-free and organized.
As a company that values community and inclusion, we are extremely grateful to the Centre for Newcomers for their work in bettering the community through their services for people of diverse backgrounds and walks of life. This newly opened location boasts new opportunities to reach more immigrants and refugees who may need guidance, and we are incredibly honoured to contribute to their new space through our space planning services and products.
